National Association Of Youth Organisations (NAYO) Speaks on Shrinking Civil Society Space In Zimbabwe

The National Association of Youth Organizations (NAYO) has called on the Government of Zimbabwe to urgently address the gross Human Rights violations through the continued crackdown on Civil Society Organisations (CSOs); Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), Journalists,  activists and Human Rights defenders most of whom are youth. The continued crackdown continues to infringe on the Freedoms of Association, Assembly and Expression which make up the core pillars of Civic Space. Speaking during the Press Conference, the National Association of Youth Organizations (NAYO) Programs Manager, MacDonald Munyoro noted that the continued shrinking Civic Space comes during a time of unlawful suspension of Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) including the case  of a youth organization, Community Tolerance Reconciliation and Development (COTRAD) in Masvingo as well as unjust arrests of youth.
